About Me
Hi! I'm Megan.
A digital wordsmith, creative thinker, and globetrotting entrepreneur. In 2017, I graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in Journalism, second concentration in Fashion Merchandising, and minors in Marketing and Spanish. I’ve always been passionate about writing, helping people and seeing as much of the world as possible, which makes freelance life the life for me.
Over the last four years, I’ve worked as a ghostwriter in New York City, a copywriter in Milan, and a freelance writer in Florence, specializing in fashion and travel content. Originally from Indiana, I spent the last four years living in Italy and recently started traveling full-time while running my business online.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me studying languages, writing screenplays, exploring art museums, and booking spontaneous trips to places I know little about.
Why Viva Valair?
My great grandma’s name was Valair and I’ve always wished I’d inherited her original name along with her lively spirit. Viva means “live” in both Italian and Spanish, two languages I speak and two cultures I adore.
And so, Viva Valair is a sassy refrain in favor of free-spirited women, creating life o their terms whatever they may be.
My Mini Mission Statement
I believe that work should be fun and life should be rife with adventure. I believe that kindness is never overrated, humor is medicine, and authenticity is the answer to many of life’s challenges.
I believe in the power of human connection, in value added over hours logged, and that one brave person, or even one fiery sentence, can change the world.
